The Big Rock Studio

There are lots of "home studios" around but not many that are set on 50+ wooded acres with a natural kettle, bog, hills, various wildlife and trout stream running through them. This is a place to go to create in an unhurried inspiring manner for an afternoon or for several days. I think of it as a bed and breakfast with recording. Dave Kruger, the creater and owner, has an advanced degree in music plus years of experience in recording, live sound mixing, and performing as well, and is equally adept with acoustic settings as well as vintage electric or digital rigs. If you stay overnight (highly recommended to record multiple days in a row), you will be treated to a "Big Rock Omlette" in the morning. Plus 24 tracks, isolation booth, good mic selection, wildlife, and Jose the Cardinal who will fly into the window to gently wake you (he has been doing this for years without any noticable impairment) each morning.
